Had £83 for texel x stores today in Raglan. Hadn't weighed them but I'd put them around 37-38kg, just lacking a bit of finish and grass had burnt up with the heatwave. Should free a bit up for the next lot anyway.

Think auctioneers/graders were pulling a lot of light/lean lambs from the fat they thought would make more in the stores. Plenty more left in the fat though, so how many farmers were adamant lean lambs were fat I don't know.

Whenever we left gimmer lambs overnight they were always spotless and penned inside when we got back for them the day after. Top bloke
Fantastic yard man. Remember him stopping me on one of those horrible wet sale days about 6.30 PM saying "you got lambs to go back to Devon haven't you? Lorry coming in 10 minutes with room...." Wouldn't have thought he would know me from Adam. Used that haulier for many years afterwards.

Cally stores at Stirling were very good, better than most folk were hoping, good types 80+, smallest mid 70s, again mule wedders a great trade, some up about 7£ on year, best buy Hill twin wedders, just young lmbs 67£, defo a pound or two to be made of them. Again Ross brothers buying nice lmbs around 80 mark..
Cally stores at Sterling, is that the same sale at Sterling on Monday or a different sale ?
