They normally have them penned wherever they can get a hurdle across a corner or gap! I wouldn't be surprised at Leek if they penned some in the office though 🙄😂
It’s like that on a normal number of sheep though… nearly double what they generally have for a store sale

With data from AHDB
Demand versus supply.

900,000 less lambs killed so far this year
Total year to date 7,255,200.

Who will processes this data if AHDB goes?
A glut to come later? Or less about due to more what would have been breeding sheep being killed last year??

I was told on good authority in August that more lambs had gone earlier. Price the way it was folks were moving them before they dropped. We even talked about it on here where a lot of lambs were coming through the prime markets not ready to kill dropping the average.

👆🏻 The bottom table comparing EU prices with ours. Our men losing a lot of money already and can’t export sows half the time due to export certificates etc. They can send as much as they want and are on 37p/kg less. More a question of who goes bust first. It’s a terrible situation

Banks have been promoting pig job up here for years.
A lot of borrowed money on pigs. Not just the owners of the pigs but the B and B men have borrowed against them to build sheds and pay for silos and feeders

All the bnb men I have talked to always say never borrow to build shed it’s only for if you have shed already etc and they can pay feeders off over certain amount of batches , so if they are in debt they have done it against advice .
