Has anyone ever seen a cull BFL tup?

Yes, I sold 3 lasr winter, got £130 each for them. Once you get them to a shearling I really don't think they're any worse than out else for dying, we often use a BFL tup 6 or 7 times

Just sell barley and don't bother buying expensive stores.

There is if you you have to buy it but then I don't have to buy stores so maybe equal it's self out.

I think price of fert is going to be the issue across all farming sectors.

talking at recent sale , Is the term Greyface still used these days for blackie x bfl mules , was common when i was younger never hear it down here these days , everything is just Scots / NC Mules or welsh mule or various crosses ,

They use term Greyfaces instead of mules in the mart reports for St Boswells.

dont want to jump in and out keep a few more or less depending on the temprature of the job when grubs dear buy the best you can and have somthing worth feeding! sold the last 150t at near £200 wouldnt have wanted to have costed that lot in.

Yes I cull my homebred’s at 7/8 years or sell them at cull price plus a bit to people wanting to put on ewes and keep the daughters…
