Not sure, I've given up trying to work it all out.they'll find out the hard eventually.once all the cattle have gone.Surely when numbers are tight by pulling the price that will only mean less cattle they can source?

I’ve been telling these deadweight buyers for years that they are just putting themselves out of a job by screwing the price all the time. Not sure, I've given up trying to work it all out.they'll find out the hard eventually.once all the cattle have gone.
Especially now with cost of feed and fertiliser at £460 for nitrogen...... Nothing can drop, and I can see cash getting tight.I’ve been telling these deadweight buyers for years that they are just putting themselves out of a job by screwing the price all the time.
According to quotes on the Fert tracker thread Nitrogen quotes today are anything from £510 to £550+ a tonne.....Especially now with cost of feed and fertiliser at £460 for nitrogen...... Nothing can drop, and I can see cash getting tight.
Get on...... I was told that yesterday...According to quotes on the Fert tracker thread Nitrogen quotes today are anything from £510 to £550+ a tonne.....

Not sure the grain boys could put it on for that.At those prices then other for grain you cannot afford to put it on!
All this fodder about that everyone is saying will be worthless could well be worth a lot of ££ come Jan/ March unless the Fert price drops well back!

I know ,same here but there just at the bottom of the pile.it might help if we had a good fat cattle market up here but there isn't.I’ve been telling these deadweight buyers for years that they are just putting themselves out of a job by screwing the price all the time.
Personally I would still buy it, yes it going to hurt and means you won't be able to do other things but way I see it you got to be able to feed your stock if your stock farming, and what fertiliser will grow is still cheaper compared to buying in extra crops to feed them, but weather you do it year after year I not sure on that.At those prices then other for grain you cannot afford to put it on!

True but if there's no pigs, poultry or cattle to eat all the feeding stuff.can see a few problems on the horizon. For grain you need to put some on to give it a kick in the spring but at those prices you may cut back on further applications.
The problem for livestock farmers if they do not put the fert on is that grain yields will be much less and the price of feed will rocket!
I think if the fert price is still so high come Jan/ Feb when livestock farmers start thinking about ordering it and they find out the high price of the fert they will go out and buy as much fodder as they can to use then so they can keep their own fodder for the following winter and thus will not need to cut so much next summer.Personally I would still buy it, yes it going to hurt and means you won't be able to do other things but way I see it you got to be able to feed your stock if your stock farming, and what fertiliser will grow is still cheaper compared to buying in extra crops to feed them, but weather you do it year after year I not sure on that.
If the livestock is gone there is an awful lot of arable product’s looking for a home. We are pretty interdependent.True but if there's no pigs, poultry or cattle to eat all the feeding stuff.can see a few problems on the horizon.
Possibly I guess but if all do that feed will fair dear...... We got just enough for spring now all in shed..... So got peace of mind that we have got it anyway which is the way I like it.I think if the fert price is still so high come Jan/ Feb when livestock farmers start thinking about ordering it and they find out the high price of the fert they will go out and buy as much fodder as they can to use then so they can keep their own fodder for the following winter and thus will not need to cut so much next summer.
