Did you see the pen of AA bullocks go through from IOM they looked chancey, Ian Ireland bought them.

Yes he had a few lots in. They were right money some small for age though but been travelled so would look better filled up. Definitely cheap! IA and JL were picking a few cheap lots up later on they looked very happy I went home before 4

I attended the Kircambeck sale of native type cattle on Saturday tried to buy some heifers but didn’t manage. They seemed a bigger trade than expected salers out of Galloway cows not quite big enough to bull £1100 sim luings strong good cattle but still needing time before the bull £1050 Blue greys small £1000 the small cattle looked dearest came away with nowt will need to adjust my values. These cattle are in huge demand for breeding. Newcastleton has all the signs of being very dear.
Bullocks eased off later in the day with a few lots looking handy money to me

Anyone got a rough price for Angus X dairy heifers? 9-12 months, seen a bit of food and don't look too dairy bred. Plan was to keep them till March however its my first year rearing calves, got a bit carried away and now short of shed space.

I went for blue greys but liked the sim luings better as cows. Saler x Galloway s we’re ok a bit narrower but I hadn’t expected them being so dear.
I have seven foot high gates a nose that bends and most of the gateways are widened if they actually use them !!

Glad to see the Border Reivers tradition alive and well! Trouble is, I think @Hilly has equine locomotion as well and if the next again night all he is served for his tea is a pair of spurs, I believe that is the cue for him to ride, boldly ride and bring them back plus interest!

I think that’s the key to those cattle (not that I know anything about them) good ones are worth having the others you will have forever before they grow some of them very small for the age

As long as you don't take them to Sedge you will be alright .....having ,said that the next sale wi be 'off the clock '

I’ve never seen a bullock with temperament issues of any breed . Calving cows is a different ball game , that’s where temperament counts .

As I said already I've bought his saler x bullocks before and found them to be pretty quite.
