Had a group of 13x 11 year olds this afternoon on the farm from Tottenham (London) area, I asked how many were vegetarian and the answer was none, one kid said he ate veg but wouldn’t eat it without meat

I’m glad to hear they were back yesterday. I had 88 in which, all bar 11 of a narrower white faced breed, were one of the best run of lambs I’ve ever taken there. There were a couple of Beltex x Charollais ewe lambs in there, which didn’t stand out.
In usual market tradition, every pen was 44 or 44.5kg, despite them being spread from from 44 to 47kg at home (7 miles away).
They made between £100 and £104 per head. A fiver or so better than the 44kg lambs that went dw to Kepak last week, but disappointed they weren’t better.

lambs this year were killing out poorly early on but the last lot I sent I was very happy with - a lot of people saying grading has been all over this year

Lambs at Colne this week, 44-48kg straight out of field, wet. Texel and Cheviot out of Lonk and Cheviot. Ave 20.6kg £107.60. Not bad for October. I thought Kepak took off the tail and channel fat as well , but could be wrong
