Dead is on the way up! 🆙
+10p on last week and end of this week could be +10p again 🐑
Talk in Frome today was up 5p next week.
Fat stock show lambs will distort the averages this week, but I thought trade was back slightly today which was disappointing with half the numbers of last week. I was 5p down on average.
Still £120 for 42kg so not exactly a disaster.

It sounds like @Hfd Cattle has some sort of Processor Contract, which is surely undermining the rest of us that have oak trees. :censored:

The early bird !!! 😏
....I've answered every pm and given the contact details ..... am amazed at how many are interested !

.....just for the more sceptical ones ....we sent off 4 green slabs to Oxford and banked £2000 + vat ......all I had to do was load them .
Looks like @Hfd Cattle has hit on the ultimate get rich quick scheme (y)................

...........I hope he has, but feel he should be warned about a RT inspection he may have coming up.

Now we all know he waltzed through his recent livestock RT inspection (indeed, the inspector was that pleased with him, she apparently burst into tears with joy) but now he's 'branched out' into oak sales, he's going to have to have a Red Tree inspection. The inspector for that outfit is slightly harder to please

Trailer has not one but two flat tyres this morning and the compressor has died so have abandoned plans to take lambs to Thirsk , thinking of trying Northallerton for the first time in years on Tuesday instead , how honest are they with the weights there? I know ppk is always below Thirsk but Thirsk weights aren't always the most accurate ;).

Weights vary at different markets but as a buyer imo you buy accordingly if things kill well you can give more I always say it’s the bottom line what counts imo
