Which is fine, but you can really attribute the cost of all your fertiliser and diesel to them in that case. Unless you’re trying to make an arable enterprise look good of course.:)
I know most of my input costs are down to the arable here, certainly not the baa baas.

Yes , I know, but the deal on offer was £30 less per lamb for £200 fert and half price fuel ......I wasn’t for quibbling about the detail I just shook the mans hand 😉

Read my post above, their numbers will drop severely unless they already have clover rich leys and don’t use much fert anyway. Plus there is little incentive with no payments for converting now and all organic environmental schemes not taking new contracts and I don’t know of many meat buyers wanting more organic produce either
