Live still ahead for us atm. 40kg horned Welshies kill out 46%ish at ABP (and we're charged onward transport from collection 1.5hrs away). Live auction just 1hr from the field to market scales and buyer covers onward transport and risk.

They might have to stop at some point!!! Stores are going a bit dearer again though. At the moment you cannot beat having some weight in fat cattle. It's just they cost a lot to get to big weight

Well I’m made up for all involved right from start to finish, things are difficult at the moment as ever but I really hope those of us who have hung on see the benefits of it.
Feeding cattle feels hard going we need it to lift to balance out

There isn't a lot of optimism around a fat cattle ring at moment, but plenty around a store cattle ring!! It will be interesting to see what happens when some of these young grazing cattle come back into store ring for fattening men to buy in autumn or new year, if barley is anywhere like as dear as it is now, there could be tears!
