It’s been well discussed around about that they’ve been cheap lately for a few weeks. Who knows why grass maybe it’s warmed up a bit here and we’ve turned a fair few cattle out could other folks be thinking similar?

I thought id paid too much for some i bought 3-4 weeks ago,but not on todays showing.Were you pleased with your trade @Stw88 ?

Weaners serious money at Carlisle today.Up £50-£100 / head easy.Some even more.Hard to work out so much difference from one week to the next.

A couple of good buyers on a few numbers and one or two from away would help the trade. The store ring tends to have the travellers and the weaners are more locals apart from a couple of dealers, it doesn't take many occasional visitors to lift the trade.
Having said that I don't know who was there last week.

How have hogs been today?

Drayton hoggs we’re well sold, but for once the handy weights were hard to place, under 40 kg 220-240p but wait for it ………. The BIG Hoggs came into there own, 50-60kg 250-265p and up to 300p for smart goods.
I know there was a good reason why I didn’t sell them all at Christmas

Lims and sims 5 to 7 mths ...one Angus 10 mths . Forgot to take photos but will try to remember in morning before I put them out .

Melton was rubbish for spring yesterday only £2.98

Got a 'nursery field' which they will go in for 2 wks then out with the others .

I just printed that off and ironed it.

Yes best week so far. Selling in penfulls helps. Few folk about wanting a pen full rather than being odd 1’s and 2’s. Lets hope next weeks even better. Numbers getting less now
