Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Exactly. A growing population in the country exacerbated by immigration, and technology/minimum wage enabling/forcing business to employ less people, equals more unemployed and less working to pay for it, combined with big business escaping their share of taxation by whatever means they can. It can only go one way, but as with everything as long as the inevitable isn’t in the current 5 year term of Government they don’t care, just keep kicking the can down the road with sound bytes and borrowing more. I think the end is nigh though now, COVID has kicked the can into a dead end
How many of us could even get by on a 36 hour week?

I have formed a deep haterd of all
Politicians from top to bottom and wont vote again until someone with some integrity comes along . The current offering are all wan kers all lf them !
A few places like North Shropshire are lucky to have an MP which
wants UK farming to prosper but most others think exporting
our industry and relying on imports is acceptable.
The problem stems from career politicians who have little experience
of working in the real world. :(

Generally trade was very flat, as said in my post the Char bulls sold well, there was a run of blue cows with shapey month old calves and they sold well around the £1800/1900 outfit mark.

If people do not agree with me that is fine, not my problem.
Those heifers were mine and they were Black Limms with Blue calves at foot. They topped at £2020. I f you are going to post gloom and doom get it right!

I always said the minimum wage was a really bad idea. How can someone tell any business how they value labour? Knocked everything sideways
The trouble with most staff is that if you don’t pay them they don’t turn up, us on the other hand still turn up an go without ourselves so that we can pay the staff (if you can afford them) or keep feeding the stock so you can service the OD!! I appreciate others aren’t in the same situation 😂
