surely theres plenty profit in a lamb at £100? not so long ago they were £60, i dont get where the huge cost rise with sheep is? very low inputs required

and what do you need the truck for? going to market with a load of 40? that wont burn a tankful, people dont need fancy trucks and atvs etc for checking them, jog and save a gym membership

Creep at £370 and everybody keeping too many to finish off grass

not many are creeping everything and even if they are, lambs wont eat a serious volume compared to cattle

Bought her in a bunch of stores in Worc 9 yrs ago for 525 she turned out to be in calf .....got £100 quid back on her and calved her down . She went on to have a calf every yr without fail. Decided to sell her in Nov with calf at foot but didn't get bid more than 770 so brought her back home ...weaned calf 2 wks ago and she made 680 yesterday

I wont touch anything out the weaners that are flighty.Im too old for it now. Used to be the same when i was milking cows and the odd one i bought.Stand just outside the entrance race and get your hand on their backs.You could tell straight away what their temperament was like.

i tried that at a young farmers dance once, didn't end well.....

When you’ve jogged 25 miles to a bunch of sheep and there’s a dead one do you have to run home to get a wheel barrel to take it to the kennels.
