Time farming earns proper money for the effort and hours put in ! Whether ur breeding cattle milking cattle feeding cattle sheep etc it’s time and due people get a proper living with the costs and bills hitting everyone rant over
This sort of thing goes on all the time everywhere , as you say its about time farming and in particular livestock started making
Some serious money , margins last lord knows how many decades are a joke.

Had my eye on two Simm steers, nice and quiet, thought might do a job about £800,but they were well in the £900s. There were two good pure Lim heifers from Bonshawside made £1420 and £1400.Dunkley bought them so probably went somewhere to bull. Ms Ivison had a really good trade with some Charly steers turned £1100 at a year old. And @Stw88 £930 for 3 heifers.
Them heifers were very well sold, have gone to be cows. One was meant to be there 3 weeks ago but had a mix up when sorting them. It’s mate was £770, glad it got left at home now! First week was a very poor trade and today was a very good trade. Average is about right. Was wishing I maby hadn’t turned out a few that i have after today but time will tell. Think numbers will dry up shortly.

Self employed tradesmen biggest problem must be the taxman from what I’ve seen!
