Is that fat or a good store beast?View attachment 1038657Whatdo you thjnk of this ??
Looks like an average dirty store beast to me but it says its 745kg so presume its getting sold prime ? Who knows . I think the article is misleading in the way its makimg the job out to be very good when we all know inputs have risen more than the price and thr price was sh!t to start withIs that fat or a good store beast?
If it’s happening in Ireland it will happen here just like when Irish is cheap ours comes backView attachment 1038657Whatdo you thjnk of this ??
It's Ireland. The beast will be off slats. They want to spend some of it on straw
Folk have been pushing them out as fast as possible imo numbers will be low later on in summer imoOne thing I can’t work out atm is why there is as many cattle about I was sure fat would dry up in may but as a very prominent figure in the meat trade said may is always a sh1t month for selling meat…….
We will find out I guess I honestly can’t see the numbers of fat keep comingFolk have been pushing them out as fast as possible imo numbers will be low later on in summer imo
We dont want them to be easy to buy, easy to sell is what we want!Sheep haven't been easy to buy for kill this week, I know that for a fact
Im not ashamed to go and ask for some, i guess its a northern thing!Going back to people saying about luck i never buy an animal for luck but it’s duly appreciated and when I sell calves at market I give luck and for the ones saying it doesn’t matter I’m sure you appreciate when you buy something and someone gives you some it’s an old tradition of saying thank you imo
That was my job as a kid go and catch folks for luck when father was buying cattleIm not ashamed to go and ask for some, i guess its a northern thing!
