Beef cows to £1,801.90 And 243.5p per kg averaged 190.4p
Dairy cows to £1,604.58 And .189.5p per kg averaged 157.3p
Store Cattle – 3 (74)
Steers to £980 and averaged £895
Heifers to £785 and averaged £785

Finished sheep – 1,524 (1,568)

A bull with that attitude must be shot regardless of breed and how good his calves are!

No point having a shed full of E grade calves when your are hooked upto a life support machine in hospital or worse in a plot in the village grave yard!

Thats what i thought when i was seeking refuge from it under a bale trailer.

Reminds me of a time I had a heifer calve and the calf needed tubing. Had to drag it under a hay trailer as it’s mother was trying to lift the hay trailer into orbit whilst I was cowering underneath….safe to say it never saw the bull again

Ha ha yes indeed I been wondering if u were Hfd Cattle last few times I've seen u there but didn't like to ask.... - Until today I thought u did well with those 4 heifers I desperately wanted to take um to £830ish but I just couldnt bring myself to bid against u....... Far to honourable I am...

12 weeks if on grass. Any sooner I don’t think it’s worth it

Ha ha yes indeed I been wondering if u were Hfd Cattle last few times I've seen u there but didn't like to ask.... - Until today I thought u did well with those 4 heifers I desperately wanted to take um to £830ish but I just couldnt bring myself to bid against u....... Far to honourable I am...

I could have taken a profit on them after the sale but decided not to . I don't understand why you would buy something and then sell it again a few weeks later in the same market for the same money .....and he gave me some luck.

Some folks do that I can’t understand it either the fuel and commission must kill it

Was worried about that but they were no problem in market or for loading and put them in a field with 26 others and they contently grazing this morning.

I started culling ewes with bad bags at 8 weeks and bad teeth at 10 weeks this year… I didn’t notice any check on the lambs..

If they hadn’t no teeth or bags I wouldn’t expect so

Exactly… he was asking about a 1 tit ewe so she’s probs not doing much for her lambs anymore either.. might aswell cash it … and I said culling for teeth not they had no teeth anything older than 4 got culled

True … and I’m on the lowlands with pretty reasonable grass..

Good . Lot of them oldish cows but the calves were 'a notch above' . £2000 wouldn't have bought you anything .
