I must admit to liking that comment .......couldn't put a laughing emoji up cos of the seriousness of the situation but the comment made me giggle ........Google it. Hopefully they can quickly sweep it under the carpet…I mean clear it up
Be the end of us if it is.Country will go hungry if its true
I very much doubt it is f+m but if it is they ought to be panic buying stock to kill before we are all shut down. It will take time to organise a lifting of movements too and from slaughterhousesA 'what's going on with cattle?' call this morning quickly led to 'can you organise a load for tuesday?' £4.50. I do hope the news above doesn't scupper that enthusiasm.

If they were calling around trying to get cattle in before livestock movements are stop if it is confirmed as F+M on this pig farm ( which hopefully it will not be ) then they need to killing them tomorrow and not next week as it will be confirmed before then and movements stopped.A 'what's going on with cattle?' call this morning quickly led to 'can you organise a load for tuesday?' £4.50. I don't think that the 2 things were related, just that the last thing we need is negative news. I was talking the job up!If they were calling around trying to get cattle in before livestock movements are stop if it is confirmed as F+M on this pig farm ( which hopefully it will not be ) then they need to killing them tomorrow and not next week as it will be confirmed before then and movements stopped.

That's exactly what these are. Could have been turned out but decently fleshed so fed.Prime cattle are very short in numbers.
Poor price and high feed costs the last few weeks has not helped as many farmers have turned out to grazing cattle that would have normally been left shut in and pushed on and which would now start to be coming out finished !
Beef will be up next week across the board from the sound of it this morning!
