Northern cattle definitely make more than southern. With the exception of the likes of Brecon, Knighton etc where they get the same type of suckler calves you get in Yorkshire/Cumbria/Borders. I stand and just gape at some of the northern sales when I’ve gone for suckler outfits before the store sale. So much less dairy influence than there is in the midlands though

Holidays are all well and good, but having decided tonight too hit the road at 9pm and get home. It’s was 1:30 when we pulled in the yard and both me and the boy are happy too be home.
Now to spend tomorrow searching for what’s gone wrong or broken in my absence 😂😂
Haha pleased you had a good time you lot
Not up for calving had a dog out set the rest of barking and it went to visit the neighbor who is getting pee@d up by the look of it it’s just had pups and appears not to be taking the single parent thing very well
PS dogs just had pups not the neighbor btw

They might not be everyone’s cup of tea but may born Welsh cross lambs are starting to shift now.

Summers always cheaper.usualy struggle to find a home for it but I'm wondering if more folk are using it.
I started to pit it years ago father did it before me it was cheap feed could get it here for around £30 delivered for a long time but it’s crept up. Local breweries Vaux at Sunderland and Cameron’s at Castle Eden shut now so would get it off John Smiths at Tadcaster after that last 20 years it’s come from up your way apart from the odd load
