Hmmm 🤔 So we should be happy with a good life and little return on our investments ? I have a great life but i strive for more return on my investment all the time but what chance have we when some produce the goods happy with very little because they are happy 😃 ….. none .
That is the problem with farming, it is too capital heavy for the meagre return. Most businesses sinking that kind of capital expect quicker and much more profitable payback.

Been thinking about the whole farming going forward situation lately.... I'll be honest we stand to loose ALOT of sub over the nxt few yrs but I'm starting to get used to this now & putting things into action to try balance it out - wat else can u do.......?? But the biggest travisty of this whole brexit job for farmers is the fact that we're going to be expected to uphold all these bloody rules on top of rules with a few more added on while our government are actively hunting round the world tryin to sign free trade deals with any sucker who take us so they can import cheap food produced to little standards..... Its absolutely shameful & I can't believe we're letting um get away with it.... That's why I will never be able to totally except brexit I'm afraid ..........
There wont be any rules and standards when folk are hungry.

High input on a low budget, when the fert is worth more than the tractor 🤣

Brexit was a nail in the coffin of the red meat sector in the UK, why beef and sheep farmers voted for something that was going to lose our protection I'll never know the government want food cheap for the masses if there is a pot of money from boris it'll be spent on controlling us

You can’t blame the effects of Covid and Russia invaiding Ukrainian on brexit ffs 🤦‍♂️ Yes we’ve suffered losses that we wouldn’t of if we didn’t choose too brexit … but if Covid and Russia hadn’t happened we were On course too be going pretty well … but the actual result is impossible to know now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree, but Britain used to be an economic powerhouse of the world , directly in control of the worlds seas , our government’s have not kept up with the realities that when the commonwealth dissolved our importance in the world stage diminished to such an extent that the UK is little more than a place for the seagulls to crap on as they follow the french trawlers fishing our waters
