Barely know it rained last night this morning Not even took the edge of the dust

It was raining at 4 this morning when I was trying to get lambs in, but wouldn’t know it now. Hopefully have 5 dry days because I’m off mowing.

Iv not seen as much hay down as there is now since I was like 10 years old.. guessing price of plastic has changed peoples ways of thinking

Might be cheap to make if only have to ted some off the thin stuff once.

Shed space will be a problem for many with hay .
I can see a glut of hay coming on the market in the Autumn as people have to empty sheds to get stock in .

Well since straw isn’t so cheap everyone will just put hay in the sheds and buy straw on the open market or put the straw outside and waste a bit

Straws cheap enough this year. Bagshaws sale, half of it not sold. Wheat 50/acre OSR £15. Sp Barley £20-30

Wheat only got so high at the sale because 3 neighbours were all fighting over the same big blocks of land next door too eachother

Never mind the corn boys will survive. They couldn’t go skiing anyway all the flights are being cancelled

They might have nothing to serve soon. Intensive meat has never been as expensive

Chicken farm I graze sheep at have just emptied there 12 sheds out and he said i can graze everywhere now he’s not filling them back up again can’t afford corn

Or is it because corns dropped? Surely corn price will be under pressure during harvest at the very least and feed firms will fill there boots

I think the chicken shed around here you got to give them 8 months notice if you do not want to restock your shed but that is eggs

It’s a joke really as the buyer can turn around tomorrow and say “yeah we don’t want your eggs this week”

Just seen a combine in winter barley , omg the straw !!! Phenomenal swaths of straw .
