Yeah he’s Cambridge rolling it for me in the morning… it doesn’t really need to be fine for turnips I think people get carried away working turnip ground… they’ll grow on concrete it’s keeping them alive once they germinate that’s the hard part

First pic had roundup , disced , seed spun on and rolled . 2nd pic was ploughed , powered harrowed , spun on and rolled . The stuff that was just disced looking better so far ! Kale , been in a month .

Don’t be daft, they’ll reach what they should be as soon as it rains. Like you say though it does even out. But will be painful for the poor buggers down there if it lasts until late September like it did in 2018
Will they get cheaper when the South eventually gets some rain...............................and they will,in abundance. The weather always evens out.

Looks good fodder! I think some people get a bit carried away wanting a fine seed bed for brassicas when there’s really no need for it your just taking moisture out the ground working it too much

Woodheads have dropped beef another 5p next week! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Its almost like they think inputs have dropped so farmers can stand the drop but ring a feed firm and they say we are still using the dear bought corn so feed cant drop. If it wasnt for cow beef they wouldnt be getting much, sending cattle will take a back seat for a few weeks now with harvesting in full swing so they might be paying cutting staff for doing nothing. Fat cattle and short term feeders have dried right up
