Yeah he’s Cambridge rolling it for me in the morning… it doesn’t really need to be fine for turnips I think people get carried away working turnip ground… they’ll grow on concrete it’s keeping them alive once they germinate that’s the hard part
Set off well but let’s see what the averages are by the end of playI thought the collective on here thought that Gimmers were going to be cheaper this year.........................Estates have to sell their runners.....................no one wants to lamb anymore................

Looks good fodder! I think some people get a bit carried away wanting a fine seed bed for brassicas when there’s really no need for it your just taking moisture out the ground working it too muchFirst pic had roundup , disced , seed spun on and rolled . 2nd pic was ploughed , powered harrowed , spun on and rolled . Its almost like they think inputs have dropped so farmers can stand the drop but ring a feed firm and they say we are still using the dear bought corn so feed cant drop. If it wasnt for cow beef they wouldnt be getting much, sending cattle will take a back seat for a few weeks now with harvesting in full swing so they might be paying cutting staff for doing nothing. Fat cattle and short term feeders have dried right upWoodheads have dropped beef another 5p next week!
