I would be surprised if there are any bigger sheep there, real Suffolk cross scotch mules (far to big and hungry for me to keep alive). Only 20 so never going to be real disaster.Saving the best till last ?
I always expect a disaster, thought one would would want my store lambs and might only get £60 them then the buggers made £90. I'm real shite at valuing my own stock. You’ve just filled @Electricfencer full of confidence now
Start on the second load and only end up with 8.Yeah but then if Youv only gone for a trailer full and all the rest of the pens go cheap you feel like you were scammed
Nothing worse than buying a pen then ending up with nothing else taking 5 ewes homeStart on the second load and only end up with 8.
I once bought 12 gimmer lambs at Lazonby in lot no.2 and didn’t buy after sheep for 4 hours, suddenly they dropped and managed to get 350 towards the end.Nothing worse than buying a pen then ending up with nothing else taking 5 ewes home
Cattle one is separate nowSo is these just the sheep (a once every 6 months pigs) thread now?
I know a couple of farmers with your sort of cattle that used to go to woodheads with them but now go to abp with themProbably have to pop my trousers down and accept I’m going to get raped
Might as well be, they don't want us in the boring threadSo is these just the sheep (a once every 6 months pigs) thread now?
Is that official?Cattle one is separate now
Its because I've speaned our mule lambs so will be looking for some yows to sell this next week or 3Not this week they haven’t, lean hill ewes are sliding fast. Wether it’s the lack of grazing ewe demand at the moment I don’t know?
They are asking for it to beIs that official?
Once he owns them all it’ll be eye wateringI know a couple of farmers with your sort of cattle that used to go to woodheads with them but now go to abp with them
That looks a poor trade unless the sheep are very poor there.Wilton Breeding sale thursday 4th (this is always a very quiet sale , as it clashes with harvest and various shows)

Looks like it is now…sheep only on hereIs that official?
They were cheaper in Carmarthen yesterday as well, but a lot of lean cattle. There is a bit of grass about but a lot of beef farmers have been reluctant to spend big money on expensive fert so grass quality could be shite.Stores looking less money at Whitland on the stream. A lot of lean looking cattle, I thought there was plenty of grass in west Wales?
Yea i thought the same , sedgemore few weeks ago was well ahead of that .Lot of arable around there (edge of salisbury plain) will affect trade as busy with harvest , only 500 entries usually a few 1000 , dealer heaven ,That looks a poor trade unless the sheep are very poor there.
