Ah yes, I see now, quite common in Bazadaise and Baz crosses, I don't notice it so much now.
I'll get back to you on Baz straws for putting on blues, I've asked for advice as I've no experience of blues.
Be £10 - 15 a straw + transfer fees, plenty choice of different bulls
Probably wouldn't use Baz straws on the blues, maybe put them in something a bit more plain like a HF or Sim

Nice bull, i was half interested in N poker but didnt bother going in the end. I did watch abit on the stream which looked hard going.
Yes it was certainly a buyer’s market. Poker was a half brother to this one, he made 2900. Preferred this one as he hasn’t got a double muscling gene

New lad bought at Carlisle yesterday
Very quiet and good nature, think he will be feeling better with all the soap washed out of his hair View attachment 942715View attachment 942716
Nice looking bull
Will be back in the market for a bull again soon. Young stock bull has been a disaster.
Love lims, but this hard calving fetish is an absolute nonsense. What’s the point in having amazing 400 day growth of the calves are too big to pull out of the cow.
I’m absolutely converted to Ebvs now, anything that isn’t better than breed average for calving ease will not be coming onto this farm.
Beginning to despair of the breed now
