Beet '22

Made a start drilling today.
Direct into an ex 2 year ley.
Reasonably confident that it won't blow.
same here or similar
subsoiler and coil after sheep
loads of moisture and maximum pressure on units to really firm it down
45 acre for neighbour we do have not even touched it yet
might get same treatment if he will let me he likes ploughing and germinator
does not think it will grow in stubble 🙈

Some of mine is up :bag: :(:banghead:
All up here.
Direct drilled are now behind the more conventional drilled beet. Expanded cotelydon stage.
Mouse damage is significant in the direct drilled field. Despite this I am glad I didn't cultivate the field, any bare soil has been blowing this last few days. Spring barley next door looks sick

That looks positively conventional compared to what I’m drilling into 😳 follows spring wheat last year and it was fine; this year following winter wheat there’s just so much straw 😭
oil radish and barley
then 12 mm leg through it and coil behind subsoiler packer and mulch drill
pig outfit cropped it to square field up 🙈😳😳😳
clown on combine must have grain elevator running on chaff spreaders that much grew again so spun a bit of radish on and tickled it in and ate it off had to put a leg through it as it was a mess when they left it 😡

Standard. Would love a mulch drill so I can push the method but touchwood it’s coped so far. How many have you got? This is an 18 row
