Beet growers have a neonic seed treatment for 2021

Varieties are reliable.
I choose the characteristics I like, (low bolting and high yield) drill early and hope for the best. Ultimately once the seed is in the ground there is little I can do to influence yield. Apart from a drop of artificial 💦😁

It’s not just variety though is it ? There’s the odd priming/processing disaster 🤐
Ps wish I had the power to make it rain

3 inch icicle on the artificial rain maker this morning 😢
Minus 5 for us. Cotyledon beet don't like it.
Starting the irritators tomorrow on some wheat to wash in some n. Then probably spring barley and grass. Onions will need a small dose to soften the cap and then flat out on tatties. Certainly don't like irrigating in April.
Lots of guns running locally mainly on fleece tatties and winter corn.

What are you irrigating?
Would like a few new machines myself. But have decided they'll have to last this year and maybe new black pipes next.
