What’s the craic with Newark? Should I start lifting soon? Hand lifting ends of rows as the beet are so big they jam in the Opel wheels ( where they have no competition on one side from other beet). Not heard from my haulier yet.

Newark ihas still got ongoing repairs. Slicing about 50% of what it would usually be.
If you need it out, lift hand to mouth to make a start.

I’ll open up my headlands this week then swap my wheels back again.
Just don’t want to wait too long then start in a pissmire.
Looking at the crop I’m already over quota and am too soft hearted with neighbours to sell stock feed at a realistic price. So no point in letting mine get any bigger.

Lift them and this time of year store them in clamp and the deterioration in sugar and turgidity will achieve you desired result of meeting quota and denying BS the excess sugar currently in your over qouta crop. Win WIn - love a plan wen comes together!!

As said, get them lifted and don't give BS any extra. Bs don't give too hoots about us so why should we give a sod about them. It's petty but they've made us like it.

Getting them lifted now will allow you to get a cracking bit of wheat in behind them too👌

If I'm over quota I'll find other homes for them even if it's only the same price as C quota in principle.

What is C quota price this year??? Have they said yet??? Some of my livestock neighbours might be getting some cheap grub this winter!!!!!!
