Its just that Domnic Cummins is bitter, imagine his postion many would be.

I'm no fan of Cummins, in fact he is out of control.
Not surprised Cummings is peed off, without Cummings Boris would never got elected but as soon as Boris's latest squeeze starts whining & throwing her weight around Cummings & others get the boot with no thanks whatever. Boris is now a dangerous headless chicken with no sense of what's right or wrong.

What isn't funny and what's a train coming down the track is the suspension of nearly everything else. Routine scans, operations, checks and treatment were postponed. The cost of this is mounting everyday.
You can criticise France for its vaccine rollout but all the routine stuff has continued. Yes a few local suspensions of normal service but very local, very short temporary restrictions.
This breakdown in normal NHS service is going to have knock-on effects long after Boris has gone.
Agree with that. My friend got injured in a swimming pool and wanted to see the doc due to some concerns. Phone appointment on June 10th is the soonest. What a joke. Options? A&E? NHS is a nonsense.

Whether people are fans of Cummins or not is immaterial the question has to be is he telling the truth or not. We have a prime minister who is an inveterate liar for sure but I’d say you’d have to be a complete nutter to get up in front of that committee and tell lies and I personally don’t think Cummins is that stupid. I’d say he’s actually the sort of person you’d want in charge. However he hasn’t got a votable personality so you put a lovable buffoon in the front and when the lovable buffoon starts to think he knows what he’s doing then you’re in trouble.

Don’t think many of any countries have handled Covid particularly well. Of course we’re all experts in hindsight aren’t we??!! Brexit is nothing to do with Covid. Drop the subject. Rightly or wrongly UK has left. Move on folks.

Even the Taiwanese are finding that you can't escape covid. And they have been held up for the last year as one of the poster children countries as 'How to cope with Covid'.

I said at the beginning of all this that every country is going to have to face the covid crisis eventually, there's no way to isolate yourself from it, regardless of what measures you take to try and stop it. Different countries will just have to deal with it at different times thats all. You might be able to keep it out for a while but you can't isolate yourself from the rest of the world forever, and eventually it'll get in. Covid is going to be endemic throughout the world, and we are just going to have to cope with it like we do with the flu. As like the flu it will mutate so we can't just vaccinate against it once, it'll be an ongoing process forever.
