Bending plough handles

I'm wanting to straighten out some Ransome plough handles would this be any good?
Oxy-propane works well for the casual user but I am not sure about the economics of running those tiny bottles. Propane is obviously freely available and so is oxygen without a hire contract. Gauges and guns are not that expensive so I would say that the kit you are showing is not cheap.

'Hobby weld ' refllables are reasonable cost after youve bought the bottle. Propane can be got from your local supplier ( smallest bottle unless you use some also in the crow scarer :sneaky:) and useful for not bigtime/large amount / intensive use.
'Weldequipe' ( their forum is very interesting as well if you like that sorg of thing ) have a good selection of gass kit for various uses. For 'targetted or 'pinpoint' heating small nozzles and mixers will suffice, and be dammed useful for getting big nuts and bolts red and moving with the help of a tap from a big hammer as well.....
Very useful to have and you will wonder how you managed without.

Approx £300 will be needed tho ir . And the pipes dont last for e ver.
But overall a Good investment imo.

Hard to quantify what you are buying is it acetylene or propane? Unless you are intending welding with it then acetylene is an expensive overkill. Acetylene regulator is no good for propane. Small propane bottles are easy to come by which means they are easy to refill although propane is extremely economical to use.
Problem is with small bottles they soon run out. Have you had a cost for the refills?
The torch looks very Mickey Mouse as well, hardly professional.
Word of warning if you see second hand kit for sale with big bottles. The bottles arn’t theirs to sell and are usually subject to an annual hire contract.
Just in passing, a 3/64ths nozzle would cover all your needs. 1/16th might be too big until you want to cut 20mm thick or over. A set of tip files in a folding clasp also comes in handy if you damage the tip on your learning curve.
