it would still been cracked, the point were its actually bent is a tight radius for the thickness of the steel so no matter how you bend it back it will have cracks in it.

Mine arrived with one hook snapped off......
Bottom leg off a 1960's Twose cultivator made a suitable replacement.

I made a shonky frame with some old tractor drawbar hooks for moving trailers around with ours, as I KNEW this sort of thing would happen sooner or later if I hadn't!

The headstock hooks are 100% not designed for lifting trailer eyes and even if you don't break em, you'll wear em out faster. Had to do some build-up and straightening of our manitou headstock when we got it (used with 3500hrs)

You can run a manitou with the hook broken off, the implement still cant come off if the pin is in.
Did it for years

Well there will be hundreds of manitou hooks straightened with heat over the years and are still goi g strong ,

It doesnt actually do anything, its just a guide to get the implement into its seat.
