I got a new headstock off insurance twenty yr agoit would still been cracked, the point were its actually bent is a tight radius for the thickness of the steel so no matter how you bend it back it will have cracks in it.

You can run a manitou with the hook broken off, the implement still cant come off if the pin is in.Problem is straightened hooks without a ticket wont pass a test ,......... bin there dun that

Well there will be hundreds of manitou hooks straightened with heat over the years and are still goi g strong ,Straightening that hook with heat must be a total no no! The temper will be totally wrecked
