Beretta or Browning

Obviously guns are personal preference and how style and weight suits different people. I was opposite to above post. I started with a cheap old gun and then got a Browning. Never liked it as much as old gun that broke. Preserved for a season with it but ended up trading in for Beretta silver pigeon which I immediately loved and have done for the last 20+ years. Browning may be a bit more suited as clay gun being bulkier and heavier. Most my shooting is game and pigeons which a lighter more manouverable gun maybe more favourable.

Try out a miruku , a lot of folk use them including myself , very well balanced guns and make guns for browning so says it all really.
I actually think my Mirokus fit me better than the Browning I got, I don't know how or why because you just about need to read the stamp on the barrel to check which one you've got!

I am a wee short-arse, maybe, more similar to 'Japanese sizing'?

Really it comes down to fit, get both on demo and put a few boxes down the spout is my best advice.

I had my Browning for my 21st birthday. I went in the gun shop and mounted every gun with my eyes closed and then opened them. Every time with the Browning I was looking straight down the bead and everything else I had to adjust for. Decision made. There were guns that were ten times the price but I wouldn't have taken one.

Benellis are like that, for me; all adjustable, double beads and none of it is used ?‍♂️ see bird shoot bird

I'm more like "see bird,blame cartridges/sun/brexit etc"
That's why I don't take the Benellis out to the range, be lucky if I got half a pattern on the back of the traphouse!
They shoot so different to the "proper guns"; but a bit more like the type of gun I want to get rain, mud, and blood on.

I have a lot of guns, I blame that a lot on bad days.

I shoot trap with an old Nikko 5000 and on a good day very little gets away, sadly it's almost completely worn out.

My first 12 bore was a bakial, never missed with it ! Thought I should get a "proper" gun and bought a berreta, proper left handed one, fitted at the shop couldn't shoot with that at all ! Got rid and bought a secondhand cheap Aya slightly better ! Still wish I had my Russian purdy tho ! My lesson there is don't be a gun snob, use what you like and can hit stuff with ! I love my old Remington 1100 5 shot for pigeons and crows tho !

Apparently the new berettas aren't made aswell as the older ones, lots of people are turning to Ceaser Guerini as a better built gun. As above fit before brand and consistent mounting before fit....

My opinion is that it's a sad reflection on British industry when our gunmakers used to lead the world. I am still using my grandfather's Lindsay which is a bog standard side-by-side with Damascus barrels that must be at least 100 years old.

We still do it's just a case of needing at least £15k to buy one...
