I’ve got one exactly the same and you’ve got me a bit worried now. What sort of noise was it? Ours often makes a deep sounding resonance at slow speeds. Took it down last July to service and saw hairline cracks on the blades.View attachment 1163571
You would only get a noise if the blade was already broken,I can’t see the split really well, depended where the split is.
If you call me on. 07799887111 I can advice

It was more of a knock at lower speeds, presumably as one of the bearings broke up, it's ended up with both bearings gone and running on the centre shaft which has almost worn through. The blades do show cracks, we lost 1 set a couple of years ago, but the tower had been down for a few days and things seemed out of balance when we put it back up, they went a few weeks later, I think the damage to the blades this week was when it fell.
Sounds like you’ve been very unlucky. The bearings on ours are ungreasable, was told they are the same as on railway wagons in the states. I think ours is an excel 10.

It’s a hairline crack up near where it’s bolted to the hub. I don’t think the resonance is caused by the cracks, just worried about them snapping off now I’ve seen that photo.
