Berry stock feeds Northampton

@beeftug how are you getting on with the feed?
Well..
I’m mixing the bull beef finisher 50/50 with some very good maize silage . The cattle I’m feeding it to are 500 kg forward stores and they are eating their heads off!
I killed a load yesterday and they all come back 4L’s , a month ago they would of been 2’s. So the feed is working
However it feels like it will break me!
I’m getting through 10 ton a week!
In the past I’ve finished my cattle on maize, barley, grass silage and a little protein so it always seemed a cheap ration , as most of that was home grown, so paying for the berry stock is a shock to the system.
If Barley wasn’t so dear I would probably go back to that .
I’ve just opened a clamp of some first cut silage so I might eek the berry stock out with that but I will phone Mr Bell tomorrow for his recommendation
Did you buy any?

Not yet no I’m waiting til new year when I stop feeding cows and start with b&w bullocks.how many Cattle are you feeding 10 tonne a week to?

Has anyone used Berry's 'Ewe and Lamb 18' to feed ewes just prior to lambing and/or to feed it to lambs ad-lib afterwards?

How did you find it?

Did you put it in a creep-feeder to feed lambs?

Thanks

What would a beef nut cost collected out of Heygates then?
What I have seen was a lot of straw and whole outs etc.
The man said the cattle did on it, but they did eat a lot.
