I had over £1k in tax-free FIT from the 15 panels on the bungalow roof this week. It's utterly insane, £2.5k on the year, plus the value of the electricity they generated, and they only cost £8k 7yrs or so ago. I've another 18yrs of that to look forward to. if I live long enough.

If I could do it all again I'd have a lot more PV and a lot less livestock.

Didn't realise Feed in Tariff was Tax Free - Does that apply to wind as well ?

Edit: Only Tax Free for domestic installations :cry:

Just been doing the sums, after 5 years 1 month our 30kw panels have covered the capital cost.
That`s Fit + Export + saving on leccy bill ( which we can calculate fairly accuratly )
So 12 months quicker than the installers prediction

Unfortunately we are still paying for lots of stuff that failed so a bit further to go here
