Battery one? I’ve got a makitta one being delivered tomorrow. Wanted something for cutting rails when fencing and knocking the odd branch off. Can live behind pickup seat and won’t stink the place up with petrol. From what people have told me that have them and reviews online they seam to be ok. obviously not going to tackle a big fallen tree but Gand for little jobs.

The Makita cordless is a cracking little saw ,,Ive got one for bitting about with at home (its more nieghbor friendly) they have more power than you think ,,downside is ,you need two more batteries on charge if you are using it alot

Agree.
Light, easy to use, ideal for logging etc and at well under £100 you can't go wrong

Very good point....I hadn't noticed.
To put it in perspective.....we use 18" bars in a hardwood sawmill, and almost never reach for anything bigger.
Husqvarna. If it was my money I would be buying a 365 special or mk2 550XP

Well I don't know! All I did was find a saw at a certain price and all you lot can do is cast doubt and aspersions. Just no pleasing some folk!
come on you don't live in a backwater a battery saw with battery delivered for under £100 in todays market and a branded one at that

I was genuinely surprised they were that dear so had to check online and it looks like that's what they cost. Maybe you weren't aware but if the last letter of the Makita product code is a Z it denotes it is a bare unit that comes without batteries or charger. They are often very much cheaper and you have to be careful not to get caught out by assuming it comes with batteries.
