Does the MOD have banks? What size of a bank needs 2100 KW of power...? That would boil a lot of kettles...
Something the scale of Bank of England easily require acouple of this sort of size- considerable HVAC, lighting and IT draws alot of power. They'd also want some headroom and likely run through a large UPS which adds further need for capacity. The two would run individually with +1 redundancy, but be capable of running as a sync'd pair.

In the description I take it they meant power bank instead of money bank. If you were wanting to keep an Army barracks/ Military Airfield going you will need a lot of power.
That aside I know the guy who supplied the back up generator fo Canary Wharf in London, it's basically a big bank. I seen the Alternator sitting in his yard, 3MW if my memory serves me right. He was waiting on the engine for it coming from CAT, he said it was a V20, 100 odd litre. He also said there was a UPS to keep everything running whilst the generator kicked in. It was basically two floors of batteries and switchgear in the basement.

What do we think of this for standard usage

A lot depends on what you mean by standard usage, plug a kettle in and you've used half of your power, I'd want twice that or more for the house.

We've just had a new central heating system installed, it has four pumps, one on the boiler, one for upstairs, one downstairs and one for hot water, Now idea what power they all use, but all the little bits add up, most lighting now on LED though.

The amount of inconsistencies in the listing would put me off, before getting to the business address or looking up the company on companies house. Could all be genuine, but when it comes to Chinese imports...

Drier genny can be connected to farm here. Old ex police station Leyland daf engine running 70KVA alternator. plenty ample to run everything, in fact if we do use it we gotta turn everything on (and I mean everything we got electric wise) to put some load on it and stop the engine hunting.

It just looks crap, definitely got that ‘you’re about to be conned’ look to it. Exactly the sort of thing you’d find in the back of a travelling tool shop, and sold with a tail light guarantee.
