This was built to offer a low cost option to farmers intrested in direct seeding grass, fodder turnips, cover crops etc
Plans are on the draft table for a cereal version
No plans for a narrower spacing yet? Can't help feel the first to sell a narrow spaced ( sub 100mm ) Tyne drill with rear roller will sell by the bucket load, can't understand why Duncan/Simtech etc have non done this. We have had an appalling drilling year up here with the weather and getting one pass into burnt off grass has been bad enough but the second pass.... no chance.
I wonder what people's thoughts are about a simtech type slot maybe not holding as much water as a disc type slot as it is less smeared in this bloody weather?

I am finding that the answer is to run 2 machines unfortunately both have there good and bad points here are some pictures of one pass with the erth 32 row the Duncan is great for rape kale turnips will pull through almost anything and make a slot but couldn't get people to pay for 2 passes.the erth has been getting a good reception with rejuvenation and full burn of for grass but the field has to be bare with no trash

Yeah I know a couple of Welsh lads drilling big acreages and they have come to the same conclusion in that a 32 row machine is good for some jobs but a wider spacing is still needed in certain conditions

Yes definitely @hally there was a period through June and July that I was just using the Duncan ground was hard and think people have forgotten how to mow the trash I was dealing with is ridiculous.however the Duncan is expensive to run in my area I love using the erth and has really good results and cheaper to run we have done just over 800 so far this year bout a 50 50 split with the drills

think getting under 4 inch will mean going to 4 rows of tines to get the spaceings and trash flow
biggest probs with 4 rows is distance from front to back row for ground following on hills and would mean air seeder to get seed down the hoses
