This thread comes around regular , we have a Nixon as above and i can say it is very good compared to every other steam cleaner i have ever owned i can get bits for it locally , so a switch, a capacitor a valve etc all easily replaceable
It has gone wrong , it blew a capacitor not that long after we got it ,but every thing else that has failed has been operator caused in one way or another.
previous machines from other manufactures with adjustable temp adjustable pump pressure as opposed to a nozzle pressure control , or a simple burner on /off switch, invariable with me at least fail
The control panel or something else gets a fault , and they are too complicated to fix ourselves and usually the part needed is only available from the cleaner manufacturer and its obsolete non of which are a issue with Nixon , simple on and off burner on and off , fuel tank just a 5 gallon drum so simple
I would buy another without hesitation.

ive always had a karcher hot washer here, the first one was secondhand and it didnt give much trouble so ive kinda stayed with them.
bought a new hds 7/10m 240v in january, so far so good at least.

maybe the others are cheaper and are just as good and maybe karcher is a dirty word for all i know.

Looking at buying a new machine after several miserable experiences with secondhand ones. Nixon sound like a good machine to me but they seem to be like Marmite! Strange how some swear by them and some think they are hopeless! Can anyone else vouch for them??

Ours is alright but is only used about once a week so probably hasn't had enough use to go wrong
