Best FIT Licensee

Just wondering who folks rate best FIT licensee.....
Was originally with Tradelink, who became Solarplicity ( who went bust!), then I moved to Good Energy who have got 6 out of my last 7 payments wrong, or paid them late, or have queried my output levels and delayed payment!!!

So, who are you with, and how soon after meter reads do you get paid.

Good energy - read meter 20 September, get paid 4th December. (if they get it right!!!)

EON have one of my accounts they pay within a week always . Most companies do not pay till the regulation 12 weeks they are allowed. Had OPUS for several years and they were. spot on and occasionally request picture of meter for proof. Have just chafed to F& S who seem to be making a meal at the moment but hopefully is just the changeover. They offer early payment but a 1% charge to do so. I changed to being FITs and exports under one roof when the energy market suffered a blip

We have been with F & S 5 years (for export and Fits). Fits normally paid about 8 weeks after quarter end. We were paid 30 Sept Fits last week which is a bit later. They say OFGEM pay them about 10 days before they pay us. As noted above there is an early payment offer for 1%. We send a photo via portal for meter read every quarter.

Have found them a very good company to deal with, always been very helpful and you get to talk to a human being and get a quick response.

Both F&S and Good Energy have pretty good service, in terms of being able to pick up the phone sort problems. i tend to avoid the larger "big six" as it is a nightmare to speak to anyone. Depending on the size of your site, some parties will also pay extra for your REGO certs

Hi, I was wondering if this is still your experience with EON? Not through choice, I have recently been transferred to OVO from SSE and they are ***** hopeless. There are plenty of negative OVO reviews on the internet but not many up to date examples of a good licensee!

Eon are now EON next they are not what they were. You have to send in your readings in a very narrow period at least a week before the end of the month, but they still pay on time
OVO is SSE so you have not moved far

Been with Good Energy since the start, 7 years. No probs apart from the fiscal drag of the FIT payments getting later and later as the years go by. They’re all affected by that though AFAIA.

Always been with EDF for import and export. Gave generation reading on 1st December, money paid on 5th December. They come around once a year and check the reading.

I get paid FIt on what I generate and then an extra for export, rated at 50% of what has been generated. All paid at the same time.

It’s the timescale that some of us are struggling to believe. You may be correct but I am now going to have to go to the trouble of finding out, which I can‘t be bothered to do. Every other company pays about 10 weeks later. I’ve heard of a company that will pay you earlier than that but they reduce the amount due to financing costs involved, as you are basically borrowing money from them at above market rates.

I am also intrigued. My FIT is quarterly, so no reading needed for December.

Payment circa 9 weeks into the next quarter, after ofgem have done the equalisation (working out who owes who) process.
