was thinking of putting some stubble turnips in but come more to think of it the field that is spare (were I'm going to put it in) gets quite wet in winter and all I'm worried about is my animals eating mud with them as it won't do them any good if they get trampled in then eaten and so on I'm new to forage crops but would like to put something in ready for September time for my fattening stock and keep them on there till Christmas then they should be ready thinking of a way of saving on provin and utilising a spare field that wants re seeding anyhow it's not bad soil and tested it perfect for a forage crop .
