Best Grass Tedder to buy?

Don't matter what you do with it, it won't row up cleanly. Myself, Lely dealer and Lely rep spent two hours trying to prove otherwise!

Meanwhile a Haybob on another tractor had rowed up the rest of the field as clean as a whistle ready for baling.

The 600 Combi is not a bad machine, but it will never ever rake as clean as a Haybob.

I like to see a haybob rake grass up o_O

So do I like to see it, in every field we row up for baling. It does a superb job if you set it up correctly.
Any time you want to see it alongside a Lely 600 let me know.
PS. Bring a hand rake with you to tidy up after the 600!

I'll take you up on that.

Neighbours had a combi, they now have separate Tedder and rake, partly I think they wanted to go a bit wider and partly they saw how good the small rotor tenders are and proper rake. All my hay gear now for sale, after I've finished baling tomorrow, nice Kuhn 7601 8 rotor tedder( apologies for blatant plug)
How much do you want for the Kuhn?
Could you pm me some details of what else you have please?

A V twin acrobat leaves a nice row to bale.

Any tips for getting the timing right on a claas volto?

I have run a claas 770 for a lot of years. Used to drive me mad with grass wrapping round the rotors.
But a couple of years ago I saw a claas on here for sale and on the picture you could see these little scrapers that fit on the rotor. Even the part number was visible so I ordered a set and it's transformed the machine.
As for leaving grass between the rotors this is easily sorted. There are two positions for the wheels. Alter that and get the drums sitting parallel to the ground so the grass is more thrown out of the back rather than up in the air. Still teds as well but clears the ground better.
Hi just looking up the subject of rotor angle. My Volto 52 is set at 16degree . I have never looked into altering it. Does it help stop grass getting onto the rotor?

Not really much help with that I'm afraid.
The flatter the drum the better it cleans up the field. However it doesn't throw the grass up in the air as much. I have always run mine flat

This is my 3rd season with the Volto. Don't know why I never looked into the rotor angle before. Made it a lot better sweeping the thinner swaths this afternoon.
