Best Grass Tedder to buy?

In the market this autumn for a new 6 rotor Tedder, using a Claas Volto 770 but disappointed that regardless of how perfectly we set it up it does tend to leave grass - not much but enough to annoy! Any advice on best on the market appreciated.

What mower do you use? No conditioner ?

Actually thinking of going for new mower and Tedder but currently use claas mower conditioner.
And your Tedder still misses grass I'm amazed we use lely/pottinger mowers no conditioners, volto 1100 Tedder misses a bit but not much doesn't matter to much if ur making silage or you making hay ?

Thank you everyone, seems the Krone and Lely are getting the best reviews from those who have used other makes so can compare. More feedback always appreciated.

A lot depends on the rotor diameter. The smaller the diameter the more a parallel contact with the crop during the "pick up" phase. Having sold the bigger diameter models for many years, I am now selling a smaller diameter and the 11m version I set off this week picked everything up when you walked alongside it and looked down the rotors

Thanks Martin, makes perfect sense, we do have some uneven perm pasture that makes perfect hay but a pain for our claas 770. Having said that it still leaves sporadic amounts on the best ground - not much but enough to annoy!

We'd a hire of contractors claas tedder this week and thought it was a great machine. We have a vicon tedder and it was putting it in knots. Put on the claas and it made a brilliant job. Tine holders far better on class too.
