As the title suggests im after a new loader tractor dont want to spend much more then 30k, around the 100hp mark, needs to be able to get around some tight sheds, will do some field work but not much, mates got a valtra and I really dislike it but appart from that will consider just about anything.

all tractors are much the same these days pick a colour you like and 30k will get you a great tractor of any breed.

+1

£30k should buy something decent wherever you look. Loads of choice in this used price range too, think about locality of a dealer for future repairs, parts, service etc.

In terms of the loader tractor itself, the 100hp bracket will see a huge range in weights, manoeuvrability and hydraulic output to name but three potentially important factors - consider your personal wants and needs.

Just a note to the interested, I've a friend trying to find a home for a - Quote - 95hp New Holland with a loader, 08 reg, 400 hours. He's a hobby farmer and this will be genuine!
I'll find more details tomorrow and post a proper classified ad. It's too small and too new for me!

This is a nice tractor, but if I'm not mistaken doesn't have power shuttle, I wouldn't have a loader tractor without one.

If you like the look of the 5455's, if I'm not mistaken from '08 I think they had a bit more hp and Dyna4 was standard.

Another vote for the MF54 series.

Make sure it's got the twin pump, Dromone hitch, power shuttle.

Dyna 4? It suits some jobs but I'd hesitate to recommend it over a speedshift synchro, especially if it's for yard-work. It's a shame MF no longer give us the option to choose, so we'd see which is the more popular...

whats so good about a 5455? apart from the clear roof for loader work i found the one i sometimes drove to be very irritating, i was very glad to get it off the mixer wagon n back to a clapped out jd 3140

Hmmm. The alternative on the MF was a straight puh, which on a dark night with the back lights on meant that you couldn't see in the back mirror to hitch anything on - after half a dozen fruitless attempts to hitch on a trailer, I can guarantee you'd buy the Dromone cassette hitch when you next swopped the tractor in...

trouble with dromore is mud gets in front of hooks n you cant get hitch down, perhaps it helps that im tall enough but i never ever extend hitch on any tractor, swing out hitch on ford 40 series was by far best i have ever used

Can i be bold and ask why not go industrial rather than agri?

Your demand for a tractor seems small and could be carried out with any type of tractor. Adding a small industrial loader, skid steer/artic/backactor etc would give you more comfort, lower running costs, more efficiency and possibly other benefits.
