Best performing Solar PV day

Since my Panels were installed Feb 2012
A system of 40.8Kw did a production yesterday 1st June 21 of 293Kw

Ours would have done really well,but a few random power cuts spoilt the day.

672 from 100kw, lost nearly 1 hour maybe 50kw, not bad for the grim North.
I have to turn panels back on manually after power cuts due to diesel generator in system. At least I can turn them on using my phone now.instead of pressing a button near the invertors.

I just went to check mine and they've been tripped off for about 10 days. We've got a beacon that's meant to flash when they're out, but someone's reversed into it and bust it.

Finding out I've missed the best day ever is salt in my wounds.

I get a tiny red light come on if mine trip. Asked the supplier why they can’t have a link out to so you can wire into A sounder or strobe instead, they didn’t think of that!

We're like Chickens and Wheat, we've a diesel genny and automatic changeover, so we had to put a resettable break on the PV on mains loss, because getting a power cut on a day with sunshine and little demand led to a situation where the PV was syncing to the genny then hitting it with 150Kw trying to make its alternator spin backwards. That was scary.

Every now and again an inverter shows a red light. I just turn it off and turn it on again. It's never been enough of a problem to warrant too much head scratching. If it becomes a regular occurence I guess I'll have to get someone out.

If your solar is net connected it should email you if it isnt happy

We've no internet that far up the farm. If this becomes a regular occurence I guess it might pay to get a 4G router up there given I've lost ~£1500 or so thanks to this.

For now £20 on a new beacon should be enough to stop it happening again.
