I know loads of folks that say they would happily up sticks and leave the UK but theres a whole country out there Ive not seen but stupidly I love my part of it .
So it hasnt got anything of significant interest other than a cathedral and a castle ,I was born here and the county is in my blood .
Ive lived in Wiltshire for 18 months which didnt impress me ,Ive visited Wales ,nice scenery but I couldnt pronounce half the places without sounding like I was choking .holidayed in cornwall many moons ago ,again not my cup of tea.
I live in one of the biggest agricultural counties there is ,,best place I know

I feel there's a few other great places to mention, Northumberland, Scotland, Snowdonia, Lewis and Brighton area. I haven't seen much of Ireland. I will have a road trip once my children have left school.

Best place in the country weather-wise has always been Sussex coast, which is why so many retire there (Eastbourne etc). However it seems a bit 'misty' this morning

@jendan . Just read your earlier post.
Wouldn't say it's better here, as this summer was far too dry and we missed any local showers. We can also get our share of bad weather forced through the Cheshire gap .
A lot better than many places I'll grant you.
