Best place to buy electric fencing gear

All our fencers (11) for the past 3yrs come from this guy in Northern Ireland. Fantastic service and only one fencer has had issues and that was one of the solar panel fencers but easily sorted. I just buy a 30w solar panel and connect it to the 12v battery models and they stay outside all year round in the same place keeping the batteries charged for the spring etc.

Which solar panels are you buying?

What they selling instead? Just their own branded stuff? Everything theyve shoved their name on that I've tried so far has been utter sh!t, right down to their sheep markers
Own brand yes.

Supplier changed from German made stuff that was , as you rightly say was crap.
Handles falling off and wire that wouldn't conduct electricity and wires broke up and was a hazard to livestock.

British made now.

Farmers Guardian had a pull out from Gallagher yesterday stating buy direct on-line.

Value for money is key as cheap can be nasty.

I do like gallagher stuff but it is expensive, but as you say value for money is what's important long term. Is the british made stuff actually going to be better though?

Gallagher stuff is well made, but it always seems a bit over engineered and expensive. Their geared reels are great, but weigh a ton and have loads of random bits stuck on that you never use but just catch on things.

I like hotline/strainrite geared reels and proper kiwi white top pigtails. Easy to carry and use and not too expensive. Having said that if I have to buy a load more fencing gear I think I'll try a kiwi tech set up.

I really rate the Pel or Gallagher solar fencers, easy to move but have a decent whack in them.
