Get the twin blade one. Amazing how handy the hook blade is as well....... netwrap off the rollers of a John Deere round baler springs to mind!

deffo 1 with a stanley type blade, various different shapes n sizes out there but get 1 that has storage for a few spare blades, they need a squirt of wd40 now n then to keep sliders or blade catches running free but as soon as blade is blunt turn around till blunt again then replace, far simpler than sharpening knives

Opinel here as well. No7 is my preferred size, but currently have a no8. Carbon blade and wooden handle means that if I drop and lose it, it'll end up rusting/rotting/getting chewed by the pigs till there's nothing left. Plus they're cheap to replace.

Keep it sharp by flashing over it with a steel hanging up in the boot room. Test sharpness by shaving arm hairs.

Only downside is the blade is hard to open when the handle has got wet and swollen up.

We use them here as much for tradition as anything else, although we haven't found anything that fits our system better overall.
