In the process of tidying up our ifor Williams type trailer. It’s a galvanised chassis but starting to chip in places, what would be the best product to protect it with. Is there anything more durable than wax oil?( just for the underside so won’t be on show)

Lanoguard has become popular, available and an easy to apply solution.
An annual or bi-annual clean & application may ensure the trailers longevity.
Tip it on its side onto straw bales, spray and then do the opposite.
My old LR was done that way but it did have a roll bar which helped.

May not be for a galvanized trailer but Spalding sell a paint it is black but it never sets completely put it on a trailer chassis stops rust and after 6 or 7 years still the same (y)

As above lanoguard, also son has been doing the truck and a few bits.
He's now using buzzweld which also contains lanolin but a lot cheaper with good reviews. Instead of using thinners he adds waste oil to get it to spray when doing inside of chassis rails. Would be ideal on your trailer painted on with brush I would of thought, seriously sticky stuff warm it up in some boiling water to soften it up makes it easier to paint
