Alot of the uk grease all comes from the same supplier! Just different branded tubes!

I know because couple days ago i spoke to them trying to find a supplier for cartridges with solid rims at the top so they dont get suck in the barrel.
It seems only shell and castrol do the type i want.

I've always generally used BP/Castrol because of a stockist nearby, but their cartridges still stick in the gun as frustratingly as anyone elses. This batch seem a beggar for airlocking too and typically I bulk bought.:( Might consider trying JCB branded once I finish the box as my JD dealer sells it.

do they have the solid rim at the top? if so you must be tightening the barrel up way to tight!

Identical in design to the first picture. Might in fairness be my gun (Draper one handed), but the lip isn't that pronounced and I find it can get pushed into the barrel and the plunger won't expel it.

Bit of a cartel when it comes to grease. Morris are a part owner along with a few others of pretty much the only factory for grease in the uk. Motoquip is what we always have sold. No problems ever reported.

When it comes to grease, like oil, everyone will have different opinions.
imo you get what you pay for when it comes to lubricants but thats just me.

a lot of the "blue" grease on shelves these days is actually only Ep2 with blue dye.
some of the grease company's felt the pinch when blue grease came out and decided to jump on the band wagon only on the cheap side.

personally i use Mobil xhp222 ("true blue") grease here, have done for years and in fairness i find it excellent grease.

as for tubes of grease sticking, i have mc naught grease guns here, K45's.
i must say, after trialing a lot of grease guns, the k45 seems to be the only gun thats worth its salt.
and its the only brand of gun i have where the cartridge pops out (like its supposed to) when you pull the plunger back and bring it forward again.

as for air in the gun, here's a handy tip for some, and as for a gun recommendation, he has one of them too.
