Does anyone have any experience of the Condon Engineering lamb weigh crate? It’s a basic type weigh crate but that’s all I need. I thought it looked quite good value at €525 (approx £485). That’s with the analog clock. I haven’t actually seen one in the flesh yet so interested to hear if anyone else has.

Looks like a right finger jamming thing for handling or marking your lambs after you have weighed them......I’m oot

I liked the idea that it can be used as a 3 way drafting system, not usually available in a more basic type weigh crate. Some I’ve looked at don’t even have loops to pin a hurdle to now.

I filled out the basic form but I'm a touch confused. In the drop down menu I selected Squeeze crush and it came up with 5K, Auto cattle weighing equipment at 7K and the auto sheep drafter at 12K (which is right pricing the Shearwell one). Isn't the cattle weighing way over priced at 7K? I can get HD load bars and a weigh head for roughly 2.5K. I thought I could adjust the cost in the column but nope.

How have they worked that?
The auto cattle weigher you've applied for is like the ritchie beef monitor. Completely hands off system.

There are other sections for weigh bars etc.

I’ve one here for last 4 years but I bought a digital clock instead of analog we are happy enough with it it’s used few times a week very handy for drafting. Only thing I’ll say is if it’s sheep with big horns they can get caught in mesh on side going into scale but usually Lanark ram lambs are worst!!!

Good to hear from someone using one. No horns here so that won’t be an issue. I would likely go for the digital clock too.
