Best Suitable allround vehicle

First I doubt there is such a thing!! I have said here before I
always buy my vehicles which are sold as seen and priced accordingly which has never caused any problems .... yesterday I was talking to a local guy who has a Touareg which won't start and can't decide to fix or sell it as it is
He said it will pull a trailer with mini digger no problem at all
I should look at Touareg forum
to see if it's diy friendly but I am sure there are plenty owners here to get opinions

if the taureg has 2 timing belts the one driving the fuel pump will be snapped. cheap fix if so.

@startinghandle Your thread title doesn't really fit your post! Best all round vehicle suitable for my situation would be a 4x4 panel van.

Only the v8 has belts rest are chains except r5 which is gear driven....

I really did like my 2013 Transit 4x4

Good at cruising, towing, carrying, air con, heated screen, electric mirrors and windows, would drive across a muddy field with no issues.

Just a shame the engine blew up.

Plus that 2.5 engine is terrible with only 75hp, even if it does go forever.

Plus that 2.5 engine is terrible with only 75hp, even if it does go forever.

At least it's a mechanical fuel pump, my camper had the EPIC electronic pump. Like most of them it failed, and I had to find a mechanical pump to replace it.

No, mine had an injector fail and blow a hole in a piston.
I fully rebuilt the engine and it lasted about 9000 miles before developing a missfire at idle and spewing oil from every seal, suspected cracked piston
