Best time of day for weaning

I'd leave them until next week alot cooler. We had ours due to wean in the last heatwave. Left them until after as they were to move away from the ewes and didn't want them hunting for water while it was red hot.

Would weaning when it was really warm and dry help the ewes dry off quicker ?

I weaned my march born lambs on the 1st of July when there was plenty of grass for them. Opened all the field gates on the farm yesterday so all the ewes and lambs are mixed together hunting out something to eat. Hope it rains next week or I'm trouble as very brown here.

I’d personally do it in the evening… then when there running about shouting for eachother atleast i'm asleep and can't hear them
